For laser printers, what dpi would be better, 600x600x8 or 1200x1200?

I'm looking into getting a color laser printer for some work I plan on doing, and have narrowed down my choices to the Xerox C400/405 or the Xerox C410/415. The output dpi for the former is 600x600x8bit and the latter is 1200x1200x1bit. I know that inkjet generally works better for photos/pictures, but for my use case, it has to be color laser.

With that out of the way, which would y'all recommend?

My budget is around $800, and I'm in the US. I'll primarily be using this to print game manuals.
