Hello everyone
You all know I usually don't post on Saturdays, but I got a phone call yesterday and... It rocked my boat a little bit.
I'm not one to pander or ask for anything other than maybe an upvote or a comment, but I got a phone call yesterday from the surgery center that I have to pay almost $4,000 in a month. Well actually less than a month. My shoulder surgery is August 11th.
Some of you who have been around the longest know that I had shoulder surgery last year in October. And it was not this much. I do have insurance and I thought with the doctor's bill and the anesthesiologist I would hit my deductible. At this point, after paying the doctor and the surgery center, it'll be almost $8,000.(Not including the anesthesiologist, physical therapy, and medication) Of course I'll figure it out, but I was hoping, possibly I could ask for a little bit of help from you all.
Just so you know what the surgery will entail, I have a tear on my rotator cuff which they will fix with an anchor and they are resecting my bicep tendon 2 to 3 in and anchoring it to my arm bone rather than my shoulder. With the three cortisone shots I've had within the past 9 months, it has eaten away my bicep tendon.
I won't leave this up for more than a day, because honestly it's killing me having to write this. I just thought I would try every avenue that I could, to hopefully not put myself in too much debt. I appreciate you for the time that you took to read this, and if you're able to help me out I appreciate that too and if you're not, I get it, Life is hard.
As you all know, this won't stop me, I am a strong independent woman and hurdles are just that, hurdles, not walls.
Thank you for reading
