Why is the reddit pet community so mean to new owners
Genuine question here. Why are y’all actually so mean 😭😭😭. I’ve posted twice in the past about advice for a 8 week old kitten here as a first time pet owner. I was frustrated because she was a cat i didnt expect to adopt and she was just CRAZY for the first month. I literally had no idea cats were like this at all and it was a shock to my life. Love her now. Shes awesome and I’ve learned so much. However none of my positive experiences was thanks to any of the comments i got flaming me for not knowing anything before adopting. Clearly, I made a stupid decision and then I made another stupid one asking strangers on the internet for advice. Nonetheless, genuine question why are we all so quick to hating or telling the owner to rehome their pet instead of genuinely just trying to help? Half the battle was just feeling bad that I might not be the best owner for kitty.
