Hello friends! Excited to share these with you. I read and reviewed my first ARC which was exciting for me.

***Keep Them Close*** **by David Ellis**
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
This is easily my favorite David Ellis book. I liked this one a lot more than *Look Closer.* This is written in dual timelines and multiple POV’s. The pacing was fast and there are so many twists and turns! I liked the domestic drama and was engaged through the entire book. I finished this in a day and a half.

***The Last To Drown*** **by Noelle W Ihli**
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️💫
This book made me feel claustrophobic. The writing was so descriptive that I felt like I was white-water rafting while being chased by a killer myself. I appreciate how this is not just a survival, serial killer thriller, but also takes a look at grief and how someone deals with it. The Last to Drown evoked a visceral reaction from me at many parts,
especially toward the end. My heart was pounding, and I found myself eager to turn the page and see what happens.

***She Never Lived Here*** **by Rita Maxil**
⭐️⭐️⭐️
This was the perfect afternoon read! Told from alternating timelines and POV’s, this is the perfect suburban suspense story. This book reads like an elevated Freida book with more complex characters. What I really resonated with in this book was how the author fully encapsulated the feeling of wanting to fit in and being an outsider. I felt visceral emotions in relation to the FMC.

***A Stranger on the Beach*** **by Michele Campbell**
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️💫
I devoured this book!! This one grabbed me from the start and didn’t let me go. It was fast paced, suspenseful and well written. The characters were amazingly written. The author did a great job making each character untrustworthy.

***Pretty Dead Things*** **by Kelsey Cox**
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
This was so fun! Told in alternating POV’s with short chapters. This book had interesting and well written characters and an interesting plot. This is a great who-dunnit. The author’s writing style makes you feel like you’re a character in the book.

***Stay Awake*** **by Megan Goldin**
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
This book had me hooked from beginning to end. There was so much suspense. The way the author writes made me feel engulfed in the story. The pacing was good. The only let down was the end. I feel like the ending slightly came out of left field but it wasn’t so weird that it took away from the story.

***The Night Shift*** **by Alex Finlay**
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Told in alternating POV’s, this is a great mystery with an engaging plot and interesting characters. In true Finlay fashion, the book follows a few characters who seemingly have nothing to do with each other, whose lives end up intertwined. The mystery is interesting and i loved the way everything came together at the end.

***This Jury is Guilty*** **by Laurie Blake (ARC via NetGalley)**
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Solid 4 stars if you’re into slow burn, character-driven reads. Written in alternating POV’s of each character and the court room reports, the pacing moves the story along quickly. There’s lots of characters to keep track of, but the author kept enough suspense going with each one that I didn’t want to put it down. Everything wraps up nicely by the end. It was good mix of mystery and payoff that dives deep into the personal complexities of each character.

Let me know what you think of these or if you’re adding them to your TBR!
