I kept needing to clear duplicate photos between two folders, even Lightroom couldn't do it, so I built my own tool.
Every shoot ends the same way: dump the card — thousands of files — pull the good ones into a "selects" folder, move on. And the original dump just… stays there. Forever. Because some paranoid part of my brain won't let me bulk-delete — what if one of those frames is a keeper I forgot about?
And why in 2026 can Lightroom not just look at two folders and tell me which files in folder A are already in folder B.
So I built a little tool for myself. Point it at two folders, it matches the actual file contents, shows you what it found, and moves the dupes to trash once you confirm. Thousands of files compared right away.
Sharing in case anyone else has the same graveyard. If it's missing something you'd need, or if you got a better idea, lets build a v2!
