Hello, new to the sub and the hobby. I’ve spent years recently with an Apple Watch and Casio rotation and decided something smarter was needed. But the more I looked the more i decided i just wanted a range to pick from. But I didn’t have much money so I went on a spree of second hand budget shopping for things that just needed a new battery or strap etc. Don’t have a display case yet to store them, that’ll be my next purchase.

From left to right:

Pobeda ZIM 2602 Soviet era dress watch (mid to late 70s I believe) - £40

Lorus RT383JX9 Sports Chronograph (couple years old at most) - £20 but needed new bracelet as old one was broken.

Casio F-91WS-2 (couple years old) - was a gift

Vintage Silver Lorus Classic V851 "Tri-Lum" (mid 90s i think?) - £7, just needed a new battery.

Vintage Gold Lorus VX43-X015 Lumibrite (late 90s early 00s?) - £12

Vintage Seiko V700-8A10 Dress Quartz (mid 90s?) - £14, just needed new bracelet.

Overall I’m fairly happy with this on the budget I had. But definitely feel I’ve caught the but for budget collecting so would be interested to know if I’ve made any mistakes or if there’s things I should look at going forward?

Thanks for reading!

New to watch collecting on a low budget, how did I do?
