Chispa emoticon button what does it do?

In the chispa app, if I select the emoticon button and choose one of the emoticons, what is the user experience on the other side?

What sort of notification, if any does the woman receive, and what type of subscription, if any, do they need to receive it and reply to it?

I paid for the elite subscription, unfortunately, and trying to figure out if I should be sending likes or emoticons, and which is the most frictionless way for a woman to reply.
