Why am I turned on at the idea of being a dom even though I'm a feminist?

So I'm a dude. Politically I'm a fiercely staunch feminist. I love strong independent women, not just as someone to date, but as political people.

And yet I love rping being an abusive boyfriend and one of my kinks is being a dom. I understand consent and I understand that kink isn't real life.

But I'm just curious as to why this juxtaposition exists.
