Ethical Necromancy, why?

This is a question I have had several times. Mostly from looking over TTRPG Forums. As well as anyone that wants Undeath in their projects.

I'm just curious as to why people like this idea. I've seen people say they hate Undead being Evil.

My Current Projects don't even have Undead. Makes it impossible to use them in most TTRPGs.

I'm baffled by how much people seem to want Undead to be either a common thing or Good Thing. It's not like Animating Objects wouldn't cover the same things.
