Do I play Chris Or Jill first in REmake? Or does it not matter that much like in re2r?

First time playing the first Resident Evil (I've played almost every mainline game besides it, no idea why it took me this long to get to it 😭) just curious if I'll be making a mistake by picking one instead of the other first yk?
