Just Got a Used (Excellent Condition) Yamaha AC3R: Keep on Stand or Hard Case?

Just bought a used Yamaha AC3R in excellent condition for about $700, and I'm really loving it so far.

I'd prefer to keep it on a stand for easy access (and because I'm a bit tight on space in our 1 bedroom apt), but I'm wondering about the long-term impact on the guitar. For durability and stability, would you recommend keeping it in its hard case instead?

For reference, I live in the NYC area, so if the local climate makes a significant difference.
