Elevation gain is double what it should be

When hiking in the Rockies, my elevation gain is sometimes double what my husband's coros watch tracks and the trail data. I've submitted a support request but after days of talking to AI, I've been told to wait for a real person. It's been five days with no response and time is running out on my 2-year warranty claim. Coros, if you see this, please help with ticket 586671!
