So I've been knitting my Handsome Chris sweater for thirteen days, and so far I'm enjoying the process. I like the color and feel of the yarn I chose, and know that when the weather calls for it, this sweater will be reliable, loved, and lived in a lot. So the time I take to knit this sweater won't be in vain.

I think it was a good idea for me to decide to knit the sleeves first, so I can feel like I'm making good progress on the sweater, and so I don't procrastinate getting them done after climbing the hill that is knitting both of the body panels.

Everything is going well while knitting the first sleeve. I'm keeping track of when each pattern starts and ends, I'm able to knit while listening to music or watching a show or movie, and I'm not looking down at the abbreviations too much, and the increases aren't stressing me out.All in all, everything is great, but today while I was showing my mom what my sleeve looks like and how it lays on my arm, tell me why I forgot that as I'm 78 rows into my sleeve, I remembered that my arm is stubby?

I'm a 5'1" woman, and as a woman of this stature, I like many other people of similar height, struggle with getting things without getting on my toes or a helping hand, and I struggle with clothes and making sure I'm not completely drowning in them.

I didn't knit the ribbing of the sleeve to three or four inches long like suggested in the pattern, despite the fact that I do love sweater paws. At the time of knitting the ribbing, I didn't know how long I'd knit the sleeves, and I was afraid of having monster arms.

I haven't finished knitting my increases yet, and I haven't done any type of blocking midway through to see how it's going. I've got four more inches to knit on my sleeve, and then I'll be able to start the other one. Please wish me luck that this sweater won't be a complete monster!😅

Has anyone else remembered something about themselves while knitting a project for themselves or friends and family?

Nothing like knitting a sleeve to make you remember how stubby your arms are! 😅😖
