The thing that bothers me about the Discourse the most is how anti-AI people are insufferable and demand purity.

I get some of the points and I can even empathize that big corporations replacing people with cheap labor is pretty bad, or that AI wouldn't have any material to learn from without real artists. I even hate that computer pricing is being destroyed by AI corporations.

What I'm bothered by is the absolute demand for purity, as if you touch AI you're basically a subhuman in these people's eyes. I've watched friends of mine go into a frothing mad rage over placeholder assets. Over 0.1% of a game having AI used, even though the game was clearly made with care. I've watched them gleefully drop devs they loved before without hesitation and call them scum of the earth.

And the constant, smug social circlejerking online just grates my fucking nerves to no end. They can't be normal about it at all and they can't stop posting about how morally superior they are, and comparing people who use it to basically Nazis. I wish these people could have a little fucking perspective in their lives.
