How to stay closeted to my family
I am a teen and my direct family (parents and brother) are supportive of me, but my extended family is highly homophobic. My mom knows I’m lesbian but my dad and brother don’t but just stopped asking questions about boys and I honestly don’t feel the need to come out to them, however my extended family that I see maybe twice or three times a year constantly asks about me having a boyfriend or talking to any boys. I keep just saying that I’m not talking to anyone because I truly am not but I think they are getting suspicious of me… I really like my family and I think they are super nice so I don’t want to get basically disowned by my grandparents and aunt and uncle. Does anyone have any tips for how to stop them from getting suspicious or do you think I should just bite the bullet and come out?
