I think we’ve been trying to cast Alan Ritchson as the wrong billionaire superhero. Instead of Batman, Alan Ritchson should play Green Arrow and no I’m not just saying that cause he’s blond and has facial hair.

Lately Alan Ritchson has been on an absolute roll speaking out against billionaires, the Epstein Files, and the Trump administration. Part of Green Arrow’s whole deal is that he’s a just a man speaking out against corruption and who realizes the harm billionaires wreak on average people and makes it his mission to hold them accountable like a modern day Robin Hood.

I firmly believe that more than looks, an actor needs to embody the character they’re playing, it’s why David Corenswet works so well as Superman imo. If Alan Ritchson could harness his courage to speak out against billionaires like Trump and Epstein in a world where doing that could cost him roles given the type of projects he does, he could really make Oliver Queen/Green Arrow stand out.

Plus if the DCU decides to make Oliver friends with Hal Jordan like in the comics, it makes sense to cast a slightly older Oliver Queen (Ritchson is 43 so basically 20 years younger than Kyle Chandler but still) to still have their friendship work but also still have Ritchson be a key player moving forward.

Maybe we’ve been thinking about it all wrong…
