Hi!

I don’t really know where to meet people here, so I’m trying everything — even though I still haven’t fully figured out Reddit. Things are pretty hard for me right now. I’m 16, and my family and I had to move far away from our home in Crimea because of the war. We’re in another city in Russia now. I had to break up with my boyfriend because he wasn’t ready for a long-distance relationship. Every day I read the news and see the streets I grew up on destroyed by drones. Every night my friends text me while their homes are being bombed.

Things are tough at home too — we had to go into debt just to make the move.

I’m not asking for money or anything like that. I’m just scared, and I’m so tired of hearing how bad everything is.

I’m learning German and planning to move to Germany or a Scandinavian country someday. I’m into Norse mythology and paganism. I love German industrial music and Scandinavian pagan folk. I absolutely love hiking and spending time in nature. I’m a fan of a lot of TV shows and anime. I read a lot — mostly Agatha Christie detective novels. I enjoy training dogs. I just want a quiet, peaceful life.

If anyone reads this, feel free to just write something nice, tell me something about yourself, reach out to connect, or share what you’re going through so we can feel a little less alone. I’d be happy with anything at all! 💞
