Can I remove this (or have it removed) but keep my propane central heating? (photo is not my unit but looks similar)

Our unit died last summer and we are just using window units until we move in a couple of years. The central heating inside the home still works and is propane. Question is: Can I remove this without breaking my central heating? I'm in a doublewide from the 1980s if that helps at all. If I can remove it, is this something I can do myself or do I have to hire a hvac company? I'm out in the county on several acres, not in the city either.
