Why are news outlets not putting “ai slop” in their headlines anymore?

The online news outlets used to refer to things as “slop” all the time. Then I remember there were stories that said big tech didn’t like that term. And ever since then I don’t see it much anymore. Is this a psy-op, coincidence, a little of both? Perhaps I may even be wrong? I don’t know.
