Imagine this: Eunhyuk sacrificed himself for Suae in both Season 1 and this season, and his biggest flaw is that he struggles with communication. Yet people still say Dohwa is the better choice.
What exactly has Dohwa done for Suae? More specifically, what has he done for her without expecting anything in return?
Even Eunhyuk’s connection with Raim is understandable. Four years after Eunhyuk disappeared, Raim happened to run into him. And Chapters 135–137 made it clear that Eunhyuk didn’t even want to stay in contact with Raim. He only kept in touch because he felt guilty about her mother.
We still haven’t seen Eunhyuk’s POV, so we don’t even know everything he went through. Yet he continues to receive hate. His POV was even withheld for so long, arguably to give Dohwa a chance.
Is unrequited love really a tragedy? Especially when you confess your feelings and then make the other person feel guilty about them? (Chapter 100)
To this day, I still don’t understand what Dohwa has actually done for Suae.
If Dohwa had been in Eunhyuk’s place in Chapter 126 and had taught that creep who was trying to take advantage of Suae a lesson, people would have praised him.
But when it comes to Eunhyuk, everything is the opposite. No matter what he does, some people say he’s wrong.
Some People complain that Eunhyuk never bought Suae anything except a keychain. I’m convinced that even if he had bought her something expensive, some people would have said, “He only bought it with his father’s money.”
Yes, Eunhyuk didn’t buy Suae an expensive gift, but he risked his life for her more than once. He gave her that keychain together with words that carried real meaning.
Yes, Eunhyuk stood up against his own friend for Suae. And he did so much for her without ever asking for anything in return
