I believe that Perlica is a Reconvener of the Her mentioned by Allekheios. Well kind of….

To be clear I’m not saying she’s not a Reconvener like Laevatain or Gilberta, she was born on Tallos II. What I believe happened was that when Endmin saved her it was through a similar process of how Reconveners are rebuilt in that it was based on the data stored in originium.

This is why Ghost Perlica shows up in the prologue, she is the copy of Perlica that Endmin used to reconstruct her body.
However that doesn’t explain why it’s an adult and not a child, and I believe that it’s because Perlica is still connected to it. Put a pin in this for a second.

This brings us to the other side of the theory: Ghost Perlica is the Her Allekheios mentioned. While we do not know who Her is, we can assume that they’re someone who’s guiding the Endmin who also has deep ties to their past. The only one who fits those criteria is Ghost Perlica as she seems to be directly connected to the AIC, Endmins mask, and the north, all things that we are metaphorically moving towards within the story.

Going back to the pin from earlier this would mean Perlica is connected to Her in some way through originium and that Perlica’s actions or thoughts are being influenced by Her to further Her plans.

While I’m not sure what this would mean for the story, from a literary angle it’d give Perlica some much needed depth to make her more than just a manager. We also don’t know why Endmin saved Perlica, was it on a whim or did he intend to transfer the consciousness of Her into Perlica’s young body? Is Perlica’s interest in protecting the Endmin her own thought or an implanted idea by Her? Is her talent with Originium based machinery her own skill or a consequence of being connected to Her?

Now I’m still workshopping this theory right now to fit death (maybe Endmin transferred Death into a younger body before), Ardashir, and just generally why Ghost Perlica is so ominous yet also seeming to be completely aligned with Endfields current goals.
Feel free to point out holes or issues or where I didn’t go into enough depth. Also I’d love to hear what others think of the theory.
