Claude's Max Plan: 5 Hour Limit Window Consumed in Just 30 Minutes
If anyone has any idea what is happening, please help.
I have been using the max plan for more than two months now. I am an active user so I have like a good measure of how my usage normally is. I have never hit the limit, but came close a few times. I first noticed it today morning, when I launched claude to start my work; I was immediately hit with the usage exceed message from the first message. This was strange, my 5 hour limit was at 100%
I tried contacting the Support, but was met with Fin, and the experience was very bad. I had no option but to wait. In the meantime I did some research, and I started clearing out all session + authorization codes from the settings menu. I slept again, woke up to the 5 hour limit being at 100% even after the reset. Nothing seems to help.
For the next session, I was awake and started to monitor what is happening. After the reset happened, it only took 30 minutes for the 5 hour limit of the Max plan to be consumed. No active session other than my claude.ai session, no scheduled actions, no routines and no API keys.
Has anyone faced this issue? and how have they managed to solve it?
Its really bugging me that its only showing the active session as the current one, but the usage is climbing. Anthropic should do more to help troubleshoot these issues, especially when their live support is really bad and mostly ran by Fin AI.
And there should be an option to pause, or disable usage. Because I tried to cancel the subscription hoping that it would help, only to see that it would be cancelled once the billing cycle is complete, so that wouldn't help/
