Fishing spot recommendations

Hi to all, does anyone have any fishing spot recommendations for the Phoenix/glendale area? I’m new to fishing and have an itch to catch my first bass.

Preferably spots that I can fish from the shore since I don’t have a kayak or a boat. I’d be willing to commute a little farther out if it’s a nice enough spot.
