Hi there! Widening my search for another native Chinese language exchange partner. I’d really love to help you with your English, too!

I’m a 30 year old woman from the USA. I love cats, art, badminton (!!!), reading, writing, and music. My availability range is wide due to my work and lifestyle. 

My ideal language exchange partner is a native Chinese speaker who has a zest for learning English, ability to correct my Chinese grammar and pronunciations, and a serious wish for a language & cultural partnership/friendship. You won’t be shy with questions and have an established motivation for learning English and providing assistance in my Chinese. 

You’re ideally around my age, have a great sense of humor, share some similar interests, and most importantly, are able to reach out and communicate should you no longer be able to participate in a language exchange. I am looking for a long term language exchange partnership, not something short lived, due to the effort and time it takes to establish a rapport with someone.

I’d much prefer a language partner I can be friends with. Friends learn from each other more easily than strangers, after all! So if you’re chatty, feel free to be your true self! Bring it on.

I prefer to use discord, but I’m open to other platforms if you can’t use it for some reason.

I have a Chinese teacher, so there’s no need to give me lessons or anything majorly in-depth with Chinese. I’d just like to practice my on-the-fly conversation and listening skills and learn more slang and culture. My current level is HSK2 (simplified; mainland Mandarin Chinese); I’ve been learning for about 13 weeks now. I am highly motivated in my language learning, so I will hopefully continue to improve quickly! 

For you, I can help with all things English. Pronunciation, grammar, sentence structure, native expressions, slang. I have a standard American accent and an educated, native level understanding of grammar and composition.
