Battle.net wifi issues

So I recently bought a steam deck because I wanted to play WoW classic somewhere other than my PC, however whenever I try to download anything in the battlenet launcher it completely shuts off my wifi network resulting in me having to reset the router. Any thoughts as to what it could be?
