I found these old comments I wrote back in 2024 lol.
As much as I love Wanda, and as much as I enjoyed DSMOM, I have to say that it was horrible when looking at the bigger MCU picture(Doctor Strange 1 and WandaVision mostly)

1. Doctor Strange one was so unique, the magic felt so spiritual and mystical. MoM made it into a joke, the separation between sorcery and witchcraft is so dumb and irritating and severely puts a hold in the general magic system of marvel cinematic universe.
2. Doctor Strange Nerf & Sorcerer Supreme Reduction…Now I am what is known as a Wanda stan, but I expected a big fight, I expected Doctor Strange, who is experienced in fighting bigger stronger opponents, to at least land a single hit on Wanda. Wong, tho not as skilled as Stephen, is still sorcerer supreme…where is the power? The influence, the access to the vishanti…the big guns.
3. Scarlet Witch’s vfx were nice, but compared to wandavision they pale. The only good ones are the Darkhold and the Hex scene, and the chaos magic of the wundagore sentry monsters.
4. Wanda turning evil. Especially so soon, complete ignorance of her entire arc in WandaVision, so irritating.
5. The multiverse portrayal. I hate how they make it out to be this unique and inaccessible thing. The watchers can access it, Loki, Wanda variants, like…it’s so dumb. Sorcerers(in comics!) deal with multiverse all the times. Why is America Chavez required? Now I get that her powers and relation to the multiverse are unique but bfr. There was also a severe lack of multiverse and madness for a film called doctor strange multiverse of madness.
6. Wanda’s death.

This is old but this is how I think MOM should have been.
