Tldr: are these veneers worth saving? Do I give the dentist any more chances? Are they terrible and unnatural?

It’s a long story, but I got veneers and crowns on my top front teeth. At 18, I needed an implant for one of my incisors that just never grew in. I couldn’t afford it and was with a new dentist and on my own. The dentist recommended a bridge and guess what he could do it that day! I was dumb and went along with it. Regretted it ever since. 

At 32 I decided it was time to replace the bridge. I had moved states and been going to a general dentist nearby and had some work (fillings a root canal etc.) done by her that was good. When I brought up replacing the bridge, she was excited to do it. The replacement was good in the office lighting but I never saw it in natural light before they cemented it. The color was so obvious and I felt incredibly self conscious. I went back to the dentist and she said it was my neighboring natural teeth that were the problem. I asked if I could go to the lab and have the bridge color matched. She was shady about where the lab is but said I couldn’t do that. She thought the bigger issue was the gap in my teeth (I didn’t mind it) and wanted to “fill the gap”. This wording didn’t make sense to me and I was scared I wouldn’t like it so I pushed back on that. 

She then recommended veneers and a replacement bridge (under warranty) so the color would all be the same. I got a second opinion from a friends mom who is a dentist. She recommended the same, new bridge and veneers to match is aesthetics was my biggest concern. She would of course have to charge me for the bridge AND the veneers. I couldn’t afford that so I returned to my original dentist and decided to go with her recommendation. 

I recognize this part was my fault. I should’ve researched more offices, but I trusted her. The temps were hideous, though she did warn me that would be the case. She said I would love the final result. When she finally installed the new bridge, veneers, and crown, I didn’t love the color and hesitated but I really did not want to go back to the ugly ass temps and after looking at it in the natural light it did look pretty good. So she cemented. 

The next few days I felt my left front tooth shift when I would open or close my mouth. We’re not even talking chewing. I also saw a small grey spot at the margin of this tooth. I went back to her office and she was defensive, telling me I had a mobile tooth but that the veneer was absolutely not loose and I needed to ignore that feeling. She said the spot was just the glue from the veneer and my gum would come down as it healed, covering that. 

Two days later the grey turned into a line and a shadow developed at the top of the tooth. I’m going back to confirm but it seems to me like a bad fit and microleakage.  I requested a few appointments from nearby cosmetic dentists but I’m pissed and stressed because I’m a teacher rl and starting work very soon. I can’t start the year with an unsightly temp on my front tooth. What would you do? Would you give this dentist another chance? Do I just throw away all that money and go to a new dentist?

Veneer Leaking Advice
