Is the ball in her court now, or should I message again?

I (M22) got out of a 4-year relationship a few months ago. I’m finally at the point where I’m looking to start dating again.

I was talking to one of my co-workers about it, and she suggested I should get to know her cousin. I’d actually met her cousin a few times last year, and we got on really well. At the time I even remember thinking she might have liked me, but I obviously kept my distance because I was in a relationship.

Anyway, I told my co-worker to mention me to her. She came back saying her cousin would “definitely be up for getting to know me” and that she was going to message me.

A few days went by and I didn’t hear anything, so I just DM’d her myself. We’ve been talking for a few days. The conversations have been good and she’s engaged when she replies, but she’s really slow at replying (sometimes most of the day).

Eventually one of our conversations just naturally came to an end on my side. I’d replied to what she’d said and there wasn’t really anything else to add, so she just liked my last message rather than replying, and that was that.

I’m fine flirting with women in person, but I’m definitely out of practice when it comes to texting and “sliding into DMs” after being in a long relationship. So my question is: is the ball in her court now? Should I just leave it and see if she starts the next conversation, or is it normal for me to message her again in a day or two with something new? I don’t want to come across as pushy, but I also don’t want to accidentally let something fizzle out.
