Warranty on HV battery

Why's govt regulating warranty on hv battery, BMS , battery tech etc.

Some will offer 8 years, 10, 15 ?

They can direct OEM to have common warranty if they're really pushing EVs.

They're bringing stricter CAFC3& BS7 norms for ICE but they're not bothered about battery tech
