Is AI going to replace software engineering ?

Hi guys i hope you're doing well , I'm an Algerian student in Computer science , I've completed two years and next year I'll specialise in software engineering (GL) , and when i heard that there are no other options except software engineering in my university i started asking people about it and their answers were positive about it and AI won't replace software engineers

So I'm asking if this is true because I'm a little bit confused

Thank you so much
