Working as a pickleball attendant at a local gym is a side hustle where you literally get paid to hang out and play pickleball when there's open court space
i came across this side hustle idea and thought it was too good not to share. Some gyms and rec centers hire part time attendants to manage their pickleball courts during evening sessions, and apparently the job is basically just making sure the courts run smoothly... managing rotations, checking people in, handing out equipment, that kinda thing.
the best part about this is that most of the time when there's an open spot on a court, the attendant is allowed to jump in and play. So you're getting paid to be there and also getting free court time which would normally cost you money anyway if you're someone who plays regularly..
From what I've heard, most places have you come in around 2 nights a week for a few hours each session. It's not going to make you rich but it's easy money for something you'd probaly be doing on your own time anyway....
This is one of those side hustles that only works if you're already into the sport, but if you are then it's a no brainer. Pickleball has exploded in popularity and a lot of gyms are scrambling to staff their courts during peak hours because demand is so high.
Worth asking at your local gym or rec center if they need help because a lot of these positions aren't even posted online, they just hire whoever asks first.
(If you have experience with something like this please share! I look out for new side hustle ideas every day and try to share as much info as I can. Even if an idea doesn't appeal to you personally, it could still help someone else or even spark a new idea!)
