Galaxy Book Pro 360 w/ igdkmd64.sys problems

So, there it is, I have this lovely old laptop which is suddenly throwing exceptions and blaming the driver listed above --  igdkmd64.sys.

The reason I'm here asking about it is due to some, um, communication problems with this device and Samsung.

1. There are two support applications on the device from Samsung; both indicate they are no longer in operation.
2. Samsung has a great looking support web site (https://www.samsung.com/us/support/computing/windows-laptops/#find-codes) that lets you identify your item for support. Unfortunately, the entry field for the serial number requires 15 characters; the one this device carries is 14 characters only. I confirmed this from the original packaging, which matches the internal tag - 14 chars.

If there is any kind person out there who can help me resolve this issue I would be much obliged!
