Can't get ASI mods to work?

So I'm trying to get some mods working that you .asi files. I downloaded the ASI loader (version.dll) and dropped it into my bin64 folder. I then drop the mod files into the bin64 folder as instructed and nothing happens. What am I doing wrong?
