hi friends new to diagnosis.

I have know i have HS for a while but I just got the diagnosis formally in January. my doctor has been very supportive and know about HS. So she recommended birth control, but told me she’s open to anything i want to try. I pretty much always have flare ups. FRUSTRATING. my post flair care is below. how does everyone feel about birth control? my flare ups usually start around my period, but they don’t completely heal until my next period. i use hibiclens cleanser about twice a week, witch hazel daily. pretty much use my magic healer as deodorant. I cannot wear ANY other deodorant, i work in construction (hvac) daily in a hot climate. i know that isn’t helpful. anyway just wondering what the advice/warnings could be. BC makes me nervous.
