I barely drive but don't want my current trashcan to turn off dates, what should I buy?

I'm lucky enough to WFH and my gym is walking distance, so realistically I only drive to run errands or socialize. On average, I'd say about 500 miles per month.

I currently drive a 2015 Corolla with dents and dings everywhere, paint rashes from when I scraped a wall 5 years ago, and the plastic above the wheel is slightly dangling.

For my needs, this is perfect, but I live in VHCOL Southern California and this car doesn't exactly mesh with the rest of my life. But I can't mentally justify buying a nicer vehicle when I drive it so little, the idea of losing $ on increased insurance costs and depreciation eat at me. Same thing on the lease front, although we could argue that going 6k/10k miles is not the worst ROI in the world.
