How time passed between rivulet and saint?

SpoilerLore:Spearmaster_head:

We don’t really have any idea how much time passed, but my theory is that millions or tens of millions of years pass between rivulet and saint

We know that the void sea eats the world from the bottom up veeeeerrrryyyyy slowly. We can see its corrosion from the dust buildup on top of 5P, the SB teal pearl, and a lot else. it's generally agreed upon that the world is being eaten by void fluid

("if you take Void Fluid from close to the bedrock horizon, it will contain traces of rock and dirt.")

before we continue, I should mention how dates work. They are formatted like XXXX . XXX, or thousandcycles.cycles, so 1234.567 would be 1234 thousand cycles and 567 cycles. After XXXX.999, the thousand cycle digit will go up by one. if one-one-thousandth is 1 cycle, the date is just a whole number and a decimal. Okay back to the yap

At the date 1514.008, the ancients all jumped into void fluid, ending their race.

You could very generously assume that the ancients started counting time 500,000 cycles before creating the depths. (So the depths were made at -500.000)

at the date 1681.662, LTTM collapsed. This means that \~667,000 cycles after the depths were created, LTTM collapsed, which happened “several cycles” after spearmaster. (BSM: Within several cycles my structure's legs will fail.)

So now we have a measurement! In 667,000 cycles, the depths… did not change at all.

Now in saint’s campaign, the void sea ate the entirety of the depths.

this means that the time between when the ancients started counting and the collapse of LTTM is orders of magnitude smaller than the time between rivulet and saint.

there's also the evolution. saint evolved to have fur to survive the cold. because SLUGcats are hairless, it would reasonably take hundreds of thousands to millions of years (>100,000,000 cycles)

there is the argument that slugcats die quickly and would thus reproduce quickly. this makes sense but you can see many other creatures with such adaptaions, like lizards

of course my entire argument revolves around the idea that the void sea DID ACTUALLY consume the depths, which may have been saint's dream, but there's no evidence to suggest that, evidence to prove otherwise.

tldr; the depths were fine for 667 (haha 67) thousand cycles and then got fully eaten by the time saint came around.

I’d love to hear your ideas!
