My game isnt working?

so, I got the game and for some reason it isn't working. I extract the files and try to load the game, it doesn't work. I reinstall it again and it doesn't work. Sometimes when I extract it says I need to replace the files for the destination and I tried skipping and replacing and none of it worked. I tried playing the application in the zip file and that didn't work and when I ran it, it said I needed the dw download whatever even tho it was in the file collection. I then tried seeing if it was my system so I re extracted it, went to the game and then went into the properties and checked compatibility and turned it on and turned on admin launch I think that's what it's called admin whatever and it asked me if I wanted changes to be done to my computer (I got the game from the official itch io so no its not that I pirated it) and I clicked yes and it still didn't work and when I checked properties again it turned off compatibility on its own and I even tried re purchasing the game bc I was out of ideas and that STILL didn't work so I'm very stumped and any other 811 nerds whom may understand what this issue is, could you please help me so I can play as I was really excited to play :-(
