Is working for the DOE better than Westchester?

I currently live in Westchester and commute to a private school in the Bronx. I’ve been looking to teach more in a public school and been hearing mixed things about working at the DOE and Westchester. All the jobs that I applied for in Westchester, I haven’t heard back from, which is expected. I now have just been applying and interviewing for DOE schools.

What are the pros and cons of both Westchester and DOE schools?
