Is the higher resolution rendering that came with the 1.5 update as good as it will ever get, or could it get better?

So, the footage of the 1.5 update looks really good…almost as good as lower level emulation. I’m just wondering if even greater levels of internal higher resolution rendering are possible?

Personally, I’d really like a device that plays and feels like real hardware, but looks prettier and cleaner like an emulator. The 1.5 update certainly moves closer to that, but I’m wondering if it’s possible to get even closer.
