Disc for constant perimenopausal spotting/bleeding

I’m in an unpleasant stage of perimenopause where I’m having literal weeks of spotting/super light days. Period underwear could handle it but it’s so hot and humid plus having hot flashes and I don’t want extra layers down there when I’m out and about. And trying to avoid tampons as it’s getting dryer in there and don’t want to suck out all moisture. Would a disc be a good option for having to wear during the day weeks at a time?
