Low E2 problems - what should I do?

πŸ“Š Biomarkers & Testing

Hi everyone. In case its useful, I'm a 22M, active (gym and play sports), healthy BF%, have ADHD but don't take meds. At the moment and for the last month, the only supplements I have been taking frequently is Omega-3 and Creatine.

I've been dealing with what seem to be the classic low estrogen symptoms over the last few months, mainly low libido and erectile dysfunction. Also have frequent periods of anhedonia and low motivation.

Here are my latest blood test results:

  • Estradiol (E2): <10.0 pg/mL (Reference: 11.0–44.0)
  • Total Testosterone: 411 ng/dL
  • Free Testosterone: 9.2 pg/mL (Reference: 5.4–40.0)
  • SHBG: 16.97 nmol/L (Reference: 13.58–71.4)
  • LH: 2.25 mIU/mL (Reference: 0.57–12.07)
  • FSH: 1.11 mIU/mL (Reference: 0.95–11.95)
  • DHEA: 8.7 ng/mL (Reference: 1.87–15.01)

These labs were done after almost 3 weeks of boron supplementation. I had previously tested with lower test, free test and DHEA and decided to try boron to see if it would help. All of those are slight better now and I could notice some minor energy/motivation and libido improvements but very inconsistently.

Obviously would like to have higher T, since I don't think it's a big problem because I occasionally have high T "symptoms", but I want it to be consistent.

The only thing I'm wondering is whether the zinc (that comes with the boron supplement) could be contributing by acting as a mild aromatase inhibitor, although 5–15 mg/day doesn't seem troublesome, and I even though it would help with testosterone and libido.

Any advice or similar experiences would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
