Hey, so I've been making this little horde survivor game in my browser. Think Brotato meets Vampire Survivors but stripped down to basically nothing visually. Everything is just geometric shapes, three colors (black, white, a blood red), no sprites, no textures. You pick more than 8 characters, fight waves of shapes, bosses show up, you get upgrades, the usual loop.

Gameplay-wise I'm pretty happy with where it is. Feels good to play.

The problem is sound. I have literally zero experience making music or sound effects and the game is completely silent right now. Which makes it feel... hollow, I guess. Like something's missing even though everything works.

So my question is kinda two parts:

Would you even bother playing/trying a game like this if it had no sound at all? Like if I posted a link here saying "hey try my game, ignore the silence", would that turn people off immediately?

And if I should at least throw something in, what's the easiest tool for a complete beginner? I don't need an orchestra. I need a "pew pew" for shooting, a little pop when enemies die, maybe a simple looping track that doesn't make people mute the tab. Something I can figure out in an afternoon, not a month.

Making a super minimalist Brotato/Vampire Survivors type game (just black, white and red). No idea how to do music/sfx. Ship it silent or learn some tool first?
