This is the fifth hotel in our series breaking down some of the world's premier hotel brands and their standout properties. The hotel brand we're currently focused on is Four Seasons and we're going to break down Four Seasons Boston in this post.

Four Seasons Hotel Boston is located at 200 Boylston Street in Back Bay, right across from the Boston Public Garden and just steps from Boston Common, Newbury Street, and Beacon Hill. The hotel opened in 1985 and has long been considered one of the best luxury options in Boston because of its location, service, and quiet, residential feel. It sits in one of the most desirable parts of the city for both leisure and business travelers, which is a big part of its appeal.

In terms of the property itself, the hotel has 273 rooms, including 63 executive suites and 12 luxury suites, with many rooms offering views of the Public Garden, Beacon Hill, and the State House. The rooms are classic in style and designed with a very polished, understated look rather than something overly dramatic or trendy. That style fits Boston well because it feels elegant, timeless, and very much in line with the city’s character. When it comes to pricing, you can expect around $650 for entry level rooms with more premium rooms hitting over $1,000 per night. They have two standout suites which can range anywhere from $10,000-$15,000+ per night. The second highest tier suite is the Presidential Suite which sits on the 4th floor and is a 1,700 sq. ft. room with a private terrace, a spacious living room, a formal dining layout for six, custom artistic lighting, and its own service kitchenette with a dedicated hallway entrance for discrete hosting. Their highest tier suite is the Royal Suite which sits on the 6th floor and is a 2,590 sq. ft. room with a grand living room with step-out views over the Boston Public Garden, an expansive formal dining room, a private cinema, a Wyoming King bed, and premium Bang & Olufsen sound systems. This suite will easily cost you over $15,000 per night, but pricing also depends on the season.

In terms of amenities, this is where the property stands out amongst other premier Boston hotels. The hotel offers a large indoor pool, a gym, a spa-style wellness environment, 24-hour in-room dining, multilingual concierge service, valet parking, and the Bentley House Car for local drop-offs. One of the most talked-about features is The Vault, a complimentary pantry stocked with snacks and beverages for guests on every guestroom floor. The hotel also has Coterie, its lobby restaurant and lounge, which gives the property a more complete social and dining experience.

The location is one of the biggest reasons this property remains so popular. You’re close enough to walk to Boston’s best central neighborhoods, while still staying in a quiet and refined part of Back Bay. That combination makes it especially appealing for travelers who want to see the city without feeling like they’re in the middle of a noisy business hotel district.

Another reason the hotel stands out is the service. The property has a strong reputation for attention to detail, and guest reviews consistently mention spacious rooms, excellent service, and a very polished overall experience. It’s also repeatedly described as one of the most awarded luxury hotels in New England, which reinforces its status as a flagship city property for the brand.

Four Seasons Boston is one of the premier luxury hotels in the city and is widely recognized as one of the best options for luxury travelers who want great service and a great location, due to its central Back Bay location. If you’re just coming across this post, I’d love to hear your opinions on the property. Have you stayed here before? What was your experience like? Would you come back again?
