Standby and checking in issues

I was able to standby for an earlier flight before checking in. Now I'm unable to check in my original flight(it says too early to check in but it boards in 23 hours) So no ticket for standby nor original flight. obviously ill have to go to the counter to resolve it but wondering has anyone came across this issue as well. what was the outcome?
