As much of us know, the events of the upcoming Ace Combat 8 are extremely close to the timeframe in which the corporations take over in Ace Combat 3 Electrosphere. Given the prevalence of General Resource and the character D.D who appears to be somewhat affiliated with him, many suspect that he will betray the FCU and the main character Rex by association for General Resource.

But I don't think he'll be the only one. This is a crackpot theory in the sense that I don't have a lot of evidence for this aside from these lines from the trailer:

>Tasha: <<Where are you going, Coster?!>>

> Professor: <<Cover Tasha, Rex!>>

>Noise: <<I'm sorry, Rex.>>

During these parts of the trailer, we see an aircraft (possibly Noises') turn extremely off course from the squad formation and after a quick face shot from Professor, we see another or potentially the same aircraft get hit and presumably shot down. Judging by those lines and the brief shots, my guess is that D.D along with Noise (and potentially AWACS Dealer judging by the <<You stay put Joker 1>> line from the same trailer) are double agents within the FCU working on behalf of General Resource and at some point, in the campaign, most likely the midpoint, they will betray Rex and Noise himself will shoot down and potentially kill Professor.

But hey, **THAT'S JUST A THEORY! AN ACE COMBAT THEORY!**

In all seriousness though, what are your thoughts? Will Noise be a traitor or do you think he'll remain loyal?

Crackpot Theory: I think William 'Noise' Coster is going to be a traitor.
