More responsibility without a pay raise
Hello! I'm a 25F working two jobs. 1 full time office job M-F, 9-5pm, and a 2nd job on the weekends/ afterwork at a winery. This issue arises with my 2nd job.
When I got hired at the winery (May 2025), I was hired on the spot for an "event lead" position starting at $18-$22/ hr. However, when I first started, they told me my pay was $15/hr because I was new to the company even though I had 2 years worth of experience working events at a different winery. So I brushed it off. Since November of 2025, I have then taken on more responsibility such as running the events email, learning client communication, money handling, and more for the same rate. I just now (July 2026) had the courage to ask for a higher rate given my situation. My manager straight up said no because they cant afford it but Im doing a great job! Yay haha! (Sarcasm). The only thing mangement offered me was more hours on the weekend such as being MOD every Sunday, etc.
I am so burnt out but between my husband and I, we have so many bills to pay and we cant afford that I quit.
In the midst of this, I am also trying to find a new full time job with better pay since they wont promote me and I was hired at the lowest rate since I was straight out of college. I have applied to over 45 jobs within the last 2 months and only heard back/ landed an interview with 1 company. The company that responded then took down the job posting due to internal major reconstruction. So im out of luck.
I guess since going with my full time job as well. My supervisor refuses to promote me because I ordered company lunch on a day I wasnt there. (We get paid lunch every thursday and people accidentally order all the time) I even asked the financial lady at work if anyone was pissed that I ordered and she said no. Then my supervisor said I didnt have corporate maturity. We are a 50 person company were no one is serious at work. All managers do is laugh during meetings and plan 4 parties a year for everyone to attend, spend money on gifts, etc.
My full time job is so toxic with unserious responses. When I ask to learn more, get promoted, a better pay, etc. I get denied. They always talk shit about me behind my back, call me a child cause of my age, and ignore me when they ask for input on locked documents that need corrections.
Anyways, Im in a pickle with jobs, money, being burnt out and wanted to know if there was any advice someone could give. Psa- im the type of person who needs a birds eye view of things and need someone to tell me whats the best decision for me cause Im seeing through rose/ black/ foggy colored glasses right now lol. Thank you thank you thank you in advanced!
