You weren’t a bad person.

You just didn’t know how to handle a girl like me. I think you tried, but it felt like we were speaking different languages and couldn’t truly understand each other. It wasn’t that you didn’t care. It was just that the way I needed to be loved, the way I needed to be understood, wasn’t something you could easily give.

And that’s okay.

Some people just aren’t ready to handle the depth of someone else’s heart, no matter how much they want to or how hard they try. Some people can only love in the ways they know, and that might not be enough for someone else. But that doesn’t make you a bad person.

Sometimes, hearts just don’t fit.
