Is there a disadvantage to playing on controller rather than keyboard at all in ranked venues like tetr.io and Puyo Tetris?

I JUST got out of playing on the switch puyo tetris and im branching out into tetr.io, and probably soon others! I’ve seen pro players like wumbo and doremy going absolutely HAM on keyboard and they are like THE FLASH!

could I ever do that on controller? probably not likely… I always seem to misdrop from shakily tilting my joystick to the right as I hard drop. go figure… definitely not a good thing.

ideas?
