Does anyone else not recognize their accomplishments, despite honest efforts and suffering?
30/ M no kids / no wife/gf for many years since last serious relationship
I have been working since 12 years old. I never knew what I really want to do with my life and now that very much applies especially.
I don’t think I’d ever have a career but I also don’t have plans to get married or to have children. I just honestly at this point wanna look after my family since I have a major work injury from years back that affects me both physically and mentally
My net worth is approximately $600,000 consisting of land and stocks
and I have a pick up truck $35,000 worth Canadian no debt
Often times I think to myself “you worked so hard you sacrifice going out until your late 20s
(Because I never stepped foot into a nightclub until since) I literally worked myself to the bone sweat and blood”
Yet funny enough, I still feel like a failure…
I make average money these days, I cannot afford to live on my own. even room mating where I live is hard making an average money due to very high cost of living
I try to be fair with myself for the current times that we live in nowadays, but I almost don’t know exactly how fair to be with myself about stuff
There’s almost like this voice in my head that I still need to push, prove myself and accomplish more and keep going
Having immigrant parents definitely doesn’t help. I almost can sense some sort of disappointment or frustration as if they are annoyed that They have a son now that is seriously injured who cannot support themselves financially. Or maybe thats just myself idk
Does anyone else feel this way at times?
The ultimate question is : Where do you stop and just be fair with yourself that you’re trying your realistic best?
Where do you draw that line that you’re not a bum whatsoever , you’re not lazy , you’re honestly trying but things are just really difficult and against you and you need to take a step back and honestly just be fair with yourself?
Thank you, everybody. This is just been on my mind.
God bless
