Has anyone else had to ring loads of pharmacies to find their ADHD medication?
I've had ADHD for years, and during the medication shortages I remember spending ages calling pharmacy after pharmacy trying to find Elvanse.
- It made me wonder how common that experience actually is for other people.
- How many pharmacies did you end up contacting?
- How long did it take?
- Did your usual pharmacy eventually source it, or did you have to travel elsewhere?
- Was there anything that made the whole process easier?
The reason I'm asking is that my team and I spent this weekend building a small prototype at a healthcare hackathon to try and make finding medication during shortages a bit less painful. I mainly want to understand whether this is still a problem people face today and what the biggest frustrations are. Any feedback would be much appreciated http://relay-med.com/
I'd really appreciate hearing about your experiences.
